350L Very dark malt. Bittersweet, Roasted and Coffee flavors. Overwhelming ashy taste in large quantities.
Bairds Chocolate
450-550L Malted and roasted similarly to Brown malt but at higher final temperatures. This malt provides a rich dark color and roasted, sharp, burnt or astringent flavors, and intense chocolate and coffee notes.
Weyermann De-Husked Roast Malt
413-450L A De-husked and De-bittered roasted malt. Provides chocolate and toasted flavors without the tannins and astringent flavors common in regular chocolate malt.
Bairds Roasted Barley
500 - 700L Not malted, but roasted slower and at a high temperature, then quenched with water. Lends a deep red to brown color and a sharp, bitter, dry, coffee flavor to Stouts and dark beers.
Briess Light Roast Barley
300L Adds light Coffee flavors. Neither as harsh, nor as dark as standard Roasted barley or Chocolate malt.

500L Use for Color and Burnt Coffee, Roasted flavor. Best in very small proportions.

350L Should use in small amounts. Very strong chocolate roasted flavors including Coffee & Bitter Chocolate.
